From there it is a simple 2-step process:
1) Fill out the Giftango Application
2) Cut & paste your new solution to your website

Giftango provides both virtual gift card delivery as well as an ecommerce solution so you can sell your own gift cards through your own website.  Giftango provides support and a complete setup so you are selling as soon as one day later!  There is no setup, no software, no obligation and no complexity.  This solution works with your current gift card program and requires no changes to how you currently do things.  It simply offers you a new channel to increase your sales. 

After receiving your signup application, Giftango will set up your account and establish all the proper color schemes, add your logos, and set up the constraints of your sales.  Outside of linking your website, you or your web developer should not have to do any configuration for the system to work.

When an online sale is made, all receipts and notifications are automatically sent out via email.  These emails are also branded with your colors and logos.  One of the email is sent directly to you, which will notify you of a successful sale and instruct you to login to your PASS Administration area where you can recover credit card funds and ship the gift card or certificate per the purchaser's request.  If you utilize Electronic Certificate Delivery (ECD), you may need to update your POS Software with the ID of the electronic certificate(s) to be issued.

Giftango's sales solution allows you to place a promotion online relative to your gift card sales.  For example, utilizing your PASS Administration area in Giftango you can sell your gift cards for a 10% discount (or other percentage) and also specify things like:
- The dates the promotion will be valid
- A minimum dollar amount your customer must spend to receive the discount
- A required "Promotional Code" your customer must enter to receive the promotion

By utilizing these features you are able to run targeted ads, holiday promotions or give your best customers a code word to get special discounts.  This is just one of many ways that Giftango tries to help the success of your online sales!

Giftango PASS Administration (Partner Administrative Sales Solution), is your administration tool to do the following tasks:

  • Complete Shipping or ECD Tasks (when you sell a certificate)
  • Review recent or past sales transactions
  • Create reports or view monthly Account Summaries
  • Configure your user profile and setup
  • Re-issue an electronic certificate (if you use ECD)
  • Make configuration changes to your sales
  • Setup a sales discounting promotion
  • Redeem a virtual gift card (if you utilize Giftango to manage value rather than your own system)
  • Refund a transaction (if you have your merchant bank configured with your setup)

Electronic Card Delivery (ECD) is a method of sending a virtual gift cards or certificates via email to your customer.  The email your customer receives will have links to any virtual gift cards they purchased.  

ECD can be setup in a number of ways to match your existing gift card or certificate program.  If you select the ECD option we will contact you and ask you a few brief questions to make certain that we set things up in a manner that is best for your business.

Electronic Card Delivery is the preferred method of receiving a gift certificate by your customer.  Clients that have this setup sell more than 70% of the gift certificates in this manner.  Here is a complete list of reasons:

  • It is a more secure method of delivery because you do not need to ship the certificate and can easily reissue a new certificate

Your solution can immediately authenticate and process funds to your bank when a purchase takes place.  You will need to speak with your Merchant Bank provider to get a qualified Internet Merchant Account.  We can also leverage our relationships with our Merchant Solution Providers.  After the account is established and we get the necessary account information we setup the Payment Gateway on your behalf. 

No, Giftango simply gives you the power to sell your existing gift cards or certificates using the Internet.  It really is no different than someone making an order over the telephone.  You simply send out your current gift cards or certificates per the order made.  If you utilize ECD, we can set the electronic delivery of your gift cards in a manner that works with your existing software and business solution. 

Giftango has a patent pending solution to electronic gift card management and online sales.  The solution is unique, scaleable, flexible and can be adapted to a customized level to represent your business.  It also has the capability to integrate with your POS software or your Gift Card Service Provider.

Giftango's solution has a very low setup cost, and then a consistent service cost based on the success of your sales.  It is easy to calculate your return on investment with this approach.  There are no surprises, and you have a support team there to help every step of the way.  We also watch that all virtual gift cards, emails and transaction are going through successfully - and when you are issuing virtual gift cards - this is a very important piece of the equation.

Giftango usually requires no training and is quite easy to pickup.  Most businesses pick one or two individuals responsible for sending out online orders or handing electronic gift card requests.  Also note our support line is available to you at any time.

Once you complete your Signup Application, we often have your account setup the next business day.  Its then up to you or your web developer to add the necessary links to your website.  Most people are up and running within one to two business days.

If you would like to add your merchant bank account to the solution we will generally set you up to manually run the credit cards yourself through your own terminal until you have established your Internet Merchant Account.  Setting up an Internet Merchant Account takes a variable amount of time depending on the bank you are working with.

No, Giftango is focused on the ecommerce side of selling your gift cards and certificates.  We offer a fantastic set of online tools to help you sell MORE gift cards, but we are not in the business of managing gift card programs.  If you are needing to setup a gift card program, get terminals, software or supplies, there are several vendors that would be happy to take care of you.

Giftango's Application starts at $4.99 per month with a 4.9% service fee (based on transaction volume). 

Giftango will monitor your sales, re-issue bounced receipts or certificates, help with setup, design and all aspects of support.  If you consider the cost involved with shipping your product, it is pretty hard to beat Giftango's Solution!  

Because we believe in the quality of our product, there are no long-term contracts.  Our service is month-to-month, and we have maintained a 99% customer retention year over year.

Please note there is a one time $149.00 setup charge to build this application to fit your branding, colors and logos as shown with the examples on this page. Also note that a connection to your merchant bank account will increase the $4.99 monthly charge to $20.00 per month.
